Manufacture...

I decided to manufacture the boards from start to finish myself, this means that I did not use blanks brought online, but cut, printed, laminated, formed and shaped the decks by hand, one painstaking process at a time.

Firstly, I printed the veneer. I used the traditional skateboard making material Maple, known for it's stregnth and flex, making it perfect for skateboards. I then formed and laminated the veneers and Aeroply core together using a rather old and haggard vacumm bag, over an MDF tool (which was of course made by my own fair hand!), which formed the wood both lengthways and side-to-side. Finally, the decks were hand shaped and finished.
